Classical music composer Christopher Jessup joins Vienna Live to present his new symphonic work, Svítání.

NEW YORK CITY: Richard Strauss’ most famous symphonic works are not symphonies, but “tone poems”. Deeply Romantic in spirit, these tone poems at once reveal a physical and metaphysical event. By the conclusion of the work, we feel to have been transformed into a higher state of being.

Classical composer Christopher Jessup’s newest symphonic work, Svítání (Czech for “sunrise”), implies a connection to Romantic transcendence. Together with the composer, we’ll experience the London Symphony Orchestra’s new recording of Svítání on Navona Records.
