Enlightenments: Marlon Simon Part 3/3
THE AMERICAS: "When you look at what's happening today, it's sad to say, but we haven't evolved too much as human beings," laments drummer Marlon Simon. Martin Luther King, Jr., couldn't agree more: we are so proud of mankind's dizzying technological advances, through which "the world has become a neighborhood" - one can eat breakfast in New York and lunch in London (or, since yesterday, the moon)! But it's a pretty mean neighborhood and technology has yet to make it nicer. Just think about the COVID Pandemic and how we fought each other over toilet paper. Marlon tells me he hopes his new album makes us reflect on the path we find ourselves on, and the path that we really want to take.
