As jazz bassist Gina Schwarz convinced us last month, some of the world’s great musical talents come from the most unexpected places. Simone Kopmajer comes from a small mining town in Styria, Austria and started her career as a jazz singer at the music university in nearby Graz. Today, she tours not only Europe and the Americas, but has become a “cult” voice in Japan, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore. Since 2010, she has released eleven albums, the latest of which, My Wonderland, she will share with us live in studio. The album is a collection of classics and her own songs, which have equally become jazz standards. Come welcome Simone and let her convince you why great jazz voices define that genre and the power behind it.
