Robert Greenberg is known to many of us as the brave Music Professor who lectured a video camera about the entirety of Western music years before all but those in Silicon Valley perceived the value of university-level tele-education. As of today, The Great Courses (formerly The Great Courses On Tape) series offers 28 volumes taught by Dr. Bob. But if you think that his enthusiasm for his subject area stops there, you’re wrong: he performs as a pianist, is a prolific composer, and yes, considers his jokes funny. Funny enough though, the greatest irony of his career will likely be that he ends up making more history than his lectures present. How nice to finally meet you, Dr. Bob!
